“This is what I am commanding you to do. Be strong and brave. Do not be terrified. Do not lose hope. I am the LORD your God. I will be with you everywhere you go.

GNT … Be strong and brave. These words do not refer so much to the character of Joshua as to his actions. He was a man of action, alert, prompt, ready to act, when the occasion demanded.

Joshua was in the Armed Forces.

Joshua was a man of God, who said, “as for me and my house, we follow the Lord” He was a husband, a father and a warrior. He had no doubt in whom he took commands from.

For us, it is Jesus, and be it spiritual or physical warfare, we must make our Lord and Savior, our Strength and Honor.

From the streets of LA to the streets of Kabul; from the seats of a Cathedral to the seats of Politicians; we must Stand Firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, our shield of faith which can protect us from all evil, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Finally, continue to pray unceasingly.
